On the first day of sophomore year, Sothea walked into study hall right as the bell rang and slid into the first seat he saw. He turned to the person sitting next to him and this is when he met Jennifer for the first time in 2011. They were both newly transferred students and instantly connected.

Passes in the hallway turned into smiles that turned into small talk. Small talk turned into hugs. Soon enough Sothea would hug Jenn and spin her as they passed each other to go to class.

Often times, they would both pack food for high school and swap their meals. Jenn's dad would cook her eggs, breakfast sausages, and fried rice every morning and Sothea would have salmon, rice and spinach. The trade of packed food in front of the locker they shared was always a highlight of their mornings.

They began dating on November 2, 2011 and have grown up together ever since. Every major adult achievement was celebrated together.

They graduated Paxon High School in 2014 and were both accepted into the University of North Florida. Sothea received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Jennifer graduated with her Bachelors in Health Administration.

In 2020, they moved in together and by 2021 they were happily engaged still kindling the fire they had when they met in 2011.
